activeCollab AIR App
An AIR Application to manage likely everthing from activeCollab would make the daily work much easier. Create and manage everything in a project, track time, assign people or get notified in real time.
Only things which aren ́t included are Reports or Project Export

Inappropriate?It's great that AC has an API but some more accessible routes for getting data in and out like a desktop client would be great. A dropsend style file uploader would be great too.

The idea behind is to make a delightful manageable tool which only needs a few clicks to get the right info and is always by the hand. Of course it could have a kind of flyout for showing details of a specific ticket/task but a horizontal UI would take much more space, and by the way it would be more an more a separate desktop app - instead of this we can use activeCollab on the web - so there is no need for a horizontal view, but a handy tool - that could be helpful. -
Hmm, yeah your'e probably right. I'm new with AC so maybe I should get comfortable with it before I say something :)
However, it would be nice if the GUI looked a little more like AC, like rounded borders and a minimalistic touch.

Inappropriate?yeah ok - in that point your absolutly right. The only thing is: Themes!
aC supports themes, so it depends on what theme you use for aC to know which style to use in the AIR App. Many people uses the main theme from aC but many others (like me) are using the access theme from creativeworld.
So I resume there must be a theme-support for the aC AIR App as well.
But since I've stopped that project I dont bother anymore about redesign that interface - or do you have any experience in developing an AIR App?1 Comment Add a comment

Nope, not yet. But I would definitely want to look into it when I get some free time.
I think my company uses the access-theme. Maybe it's enough to make the AIR app resemble the system default theme at a beginning. Then extend it with a theme API if there is demand. Too bad you stopped working on it, btw is it open source? -

I just worked out the design screen - just the concept.
If you want you can pick it up - only thing I want is a free copy of the result :-P
