Get Satisfaction is a direct connection between people and companies that fosters problem-solving, promotes sharing, and builds up relationships. Thousands of companies use this neutral space to support customers, exchange ideas, and get feedback about their products and services. Get Satisfaction is open, transparent, and free. You’re free to ask, free to answer, and free to start a new conversation. Everyone is invited and encouraged to participate: companies, employees, customers — anyone with an opinion, an answer, or something to say.
How It Started
Get Satisfaction was born out of Valleyschwag, a lark of an idea based on selling subscriptions of leftover Silicon Valley start-up promotional goodies. While initially designed to be a fun and frivolous side project, an astounding number of people signed up for the service, and we found ourselves awash in thousands of customer service requests.
We soon realized that great customer service wasn’t going to happen if we simply posted FAQs on our Web site and responded to repetitive e- mail requests with a library of stock answers. Thankfully, our best customers taught us a few things along the way, and we came to see our community of customers as our biggest strength. They camped out on our blog, helping other people whenever questions popped up. We wanted a place dedicated to answering these kinds of questions but no one seemed to offer a free, Web-based customer service system that incorporated a real community like ours.
So, we built one — and decided to share it with the world.
Get Satisfaction was created as a place where customers and companies can come together to answer each others’ questions: questions about shipping, pricing, fulfillment, the product itself, and myriad other details. By putting all of these conversations in one place — and holding nothing back — we’ve created a new way to not just handle customer service, but to explore all the things we collectively love and hate about our favorite products and services, and the companies that offer them.

Get Satisfaction is financially backed by First Round Capital, O'Reilly Alphatech Ventures, Jeff Clavier's SoftTechVC, and individual investors that include Adaptive Path, Mike Brown, Janice Tilford, and Jason Schultz.
The Team
In addition to everyone who's helping power the site with answers, solutions, and ideas (you!), there's a dedicated group of fun folks working hard behind the scenes:
