Developing V2 of killer pain feature: Agglomerator V2 - discuss it with us
Agglomerator v1 has been a real success. Users seem to love it and to use it for sharing browser session, organizing content and keep track of their browsing history. As well as this is the feature most used, let's improve it :)
Here we will discuss Agglomerator v2 main goals. Everybody would be more than welcome to join the conversation. Actually, users feedback has much more value than ours :)
From a user's point of view, main priorities of the V2 are:
- Save time
- Enjoy the experience of multi-session browsing (switch session rapidly inside the same browser)
- Save current session in 3 click (Agglom button -> Save Session -> Check details and save)
- Session may be auto - savable (browser crashing proof)
- Add one or multiple tabs to saved sessions
- Add one tabs with drag 'n drop
- Redirect users to Agglom interface as less as possible: transfer most of the process in the client browser
Multiple session browsing:
User should be able to manage different sessions at the same time and switch easily between them. I can't imagine an alternative than using the toolbar. User hates toolbars and likes Agglomerator because it is 1 simple button. Hany idea about this?
We can just keep the toolbar optional. Enabled by default, then users can easily disable it.
This is just the beginning. The development will begin soon and the release is planned in few weeks.
As well as we adopt Scrum / Agile methodologies, feedback and ideas may come during the middle of development process and are more than welcome. Users are our "customers" and have high-priorities on all the decisions :)
Thanks,
Enrico Foschi

Inappropriate?WOW can't wait for this!!! this is going to be the best on-line service ever and the best extension from all Firefox extensions :D
I’m excited
-
Inappropriate?when is this small piece of magical software caming out???
ME WANTS!!!
I’m I'M... I'M.... I CAN'T WAIT
-
Inappropriate?Love the firefox Extension! - Suggestion= being able to save a single link and choose which "collection" to save it to so you can quickly add new links. Maybe it's possible already?
Somewhere down the line, would be great to have options to see a "set" as a grid with screenshots and a single line list.
I’m silly
-
Inappropriate?@GEO: we are currently developing it and planning to release as soon as possible. The current version is on http://www.agglom.com/extension.aspx
@mixedbrains: the feature is already available: when you press the Agglomerator button, in the very end of the landing page there is a drop down list where you can choose the set where you would like to add the links. The Grid suggestion is great! How would you rather implement the "single line list"? (better discuss this in a new topic in the IDEAS area)
I’m thankful
-
Inappropriate?if you add the following, i will happily use your service:
-automatic duplicate deletion
-ability to move links from one folder or set to another
-unlimited folder or set hierarchies
I’m thankful
-
Inappropriate?- module for Joomla, Drupal, WordPress to embed agglom conent
