Inappropriate?Hi loris32,
Can you please go on View -> Toolbar -> Customize - do you see the Agglomerator icon listed there? If yes, then you can drag 'n drop it into the main toolbar.
We apologies for the inconvenience.
Enrico Foschi -
Inappropriate?Thank you for your fast answer.
No, it is not listed there, I had already checked this, but I cannot find it, and there are not settings to adjust. -
Inappropriate?Hi loris32,
this is really weird, because we use Agglomerator on Firefox 3.0.4 as well, but on a Windows machine. BTW, it shouldn't matter.
If you open the Add-ons list, do you see Agglomerator?
If yes, are you sure that actually it is not hidden in the toolbar by some other extra buttons that is pushing it on the right of the screen?
What you can do is to close all Firefox instances than to start it with the option "--profilemanager" . A modal popup should appear and you should be able to create a new profile. You will use it just temporarily, but we will know that it is "clean" and without any add-on installed.
Then, with this new profile, try to install the Agglomerator add-on again ( http://www.agglom.com/agglomerator.xpi ) and then tell us xwhat happens.
Thank you for your patience and please accept our apologies,
Enrico Foschi -
Inappropriate?Yes, I can see agglomerator in the add-ons list, and it is active.
I can actually deactivate or uninstall.
I tried as you have suggested to create a new profile and the add-on works.
It is quite strange and I do not know how to solve this issue.
In any case, thank you very much for your help and patience! -
Inappropriate?Hi loris32.
So, as well as it works on your browser and on your operating system, I guess the issue(s) may be:
- the extension is in conflict with another extension (almost impossible, as well as all the extension code, styles, etc... is under an "agglomerator" namespace - so I doubt other extension used this very same one)
- the icon is correctly displayed, but hidden. In this case, we ask you to perform another last operation: Go to View -> Toolbars -> Customize and click on "Restore Default Set" (this will remove all the non-default icons from your toolbar and put them back on the "Customize Toolbar" list). Then, if there you see the Agglomerator icon (blue / cyan square, with a white "a" inside it), you can try to drag 'n drop it on the left of your address bar.
Please let us know if you solved the issues,
Hope it helps,
Thanks,
Enrico Foschi

Inappropriate?

I tried to do the operation you are talking about (restore default set) , but the result is the same, because I did not modify the toolbar to add icons.
The only thing I have done is to set another theme different from the default one: Noia 2.0 (eXtreme).
I have put an image to show it to you and to show that I cannot add the icon neither it is on the bar. Moreover it does not seem to be hidden in the bar, because I can add another icon without problems.
I study computer engineering and I really guess why it does not work for me!
It is too strange.

Inappropriate?Hi loris32,
we are sorry, but we cannot figure out a solution right now. Will take in consideration this scenario and work on it, but I don't have an optimistic view on the outcomings.
Thanks for your patience and support,
Enrico -
Inappropriate?Thank you anyway for your help and your patience.
I hope I will be able to help you to develop this extension in some ways.
And I hope to find the problem finally!

Inappropriate?Lorenzo, I had the same issue, and followed Enrico's advice until I saw that I could add another toolbar via "Customize" -- added a blank toolbar, then pulled the Agglom icon to it. Works like a charm! Try it!

Inappropriate?Hi SherryBrio, thank you for your help.
I have added a new empty bar, but I don't have the icon at all in the list of the icons I can add!
Did you have the icon before adding the new bar or it is appeared after this?
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?Hi all,
I am writing to say that I have solved my problem, and I would like to explain how, hoping that other users could solve similar problems with this information.
I have created another profile for firefox, but this did not solved the problem, because I was not able to see the wished icon...even if there was no extention at all!
The key is to desactivate the unique add-on that is active by default on firefox on the ubuntu versions, that is "Ubuntu Firefox Modifications".
I really don't know why this extention conflicts with this feature of firefox for ubuntu, neither the real function of the Ubuntu Firefox Modifications, but I don't think it is essential, so I desactivated it and now, finally, I can use agglomerator!
I hope that this can help orher users ;)
Thank you for your support!
Bye!
Loris32
I’m happy
