How do I print mission cards?
Perhaps I'm missing something here, but nowhere can I find a print button in order to create my own mission cards.
Where is it?
Where is it?

Inappropriate?Hi FragMagnet! We should get fragging sometime on UT2k4! I'm totally addicted to that game :)
Here's how you can print stuff:
Click on a card name so that you see the actual card itself (ie - http://akoha.com/card/1000/). Then, click on "Get Mission". In the following page, click on the Add to My Missions button.
This will "add" a mission to your mission list. Once you add this mission to your list, you will be given the choice to print your mission.
Hope this helps! -
Inappropriate?I see... Though I must say this method leaves me wanting.
To me, it makes a lot more sense to let us print the cards whenever we need to, as opposed to just when we've accepted the mission.
Say you lose a mission card you got from a deck, or even the one you printed; then what? I can't seem to find an easy way to find that card's mission page in order to access its print button after you've seen it the first time once you accept the mission - and even when you do, if you obtained it through a deck then it doesn't let you print it altogether (I found the page of one that I hadn't played yet by fiddling with the mission ID numbers of the url after I'd accessed one that I had played already).
Missions shown in the current mission list should be equipped with a "mission history" button as there is in the case of the played mission list, that takes you to the respective mission's page. This should, in turn, always have the print button on it - no matter how the mission was obtained.
One of the people I've played a mission forward to showed me the state that its card had gotten to, and if such treatment keeps up I doubt there will be much card left to play forward at all. Such a feature would help keep the cards in motion without too much fuss, seeing as paper and card are such fragile materials and can easily be destroyed.
I do hope this feature can be added on as it seems like a straightforward task with large benefits. In any case, however, thank you for your timely response.
PS: I must say that you have good taste in games. ;) A match sounds like a great idea, though I'm afraid I doubt we'd have much luck in playing very well due to physical distance.
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?I'm having this trouble too. I added a bunch of missions to my deck yesterday; I want to print one today. I don't seem to be able to do that, so how can I play those missions?
-
Inappropriate?Rose,
If you want to print any of your existing missions, you can do so by clicking on "Play it forward" on any of your missions in the "My Missions" section of your Home page. If applicable, click on "Pick this card" (this will show up if you have many missions of the same type), then scroll to the bottom. You'll see a box that says "If you need another mission card, click here to print one out".
Note that this option wont appear for missions that you have received or have physical cards for.
Hope it helps! -
Inappropriate? So I have to scroll past what looks like the only option, that of logging the mission as completed, in order to print it out? That seems counterintuitive. I'm glad to know there is a print button way at the bottom but I'd never have thought to look for it there. Can it be moved up?
I’m glad this solution exists but I think it could be improved
-
Inappropriate?Actually, scratch that--I just followed your instructions and there's no box that says "If you see another mission card, click here to print one out". This is for the "Teach Someone a New Game" mission, which I added to my virtual deck on the site, so it's not a mission I received and it's not one that I have physical cards for. I went to "My Missions", clicked "Play it forward", clicked "Pick this card", and got a screen where my only options are "Who did you play this mission with?" and "Mission details". Am I missing something?
I’m sad that this doesn't work for me

Inappropriate?Okay, sorry to leave a bazillion comments, but I have sort of figured this one out:
If I go to http://akoha.com/card/play/1069/ and click "Pick a card", it doesn't go directly to the card's mission page; it just redraws the general "Play a Mission" page. There's no print button on the redrawn page and the first box still says "Pick a card" even though a card has been selected.
If I go to http://akoha.com/card/play/1069/331301/ which appears to be the card's individual mission page, the first box says "Your mission" and there's a print button at the bottom. The problem is that there's no way to get to that individual mission page once the mission has been added to my deck.
This only seems to be a problem if I have multiple copies of a mission in my deck. For example, I only have one "make love with your lover" mission, so if I click "Play it forward" from my mission page, I get http://akoha.com/card/play/1093/ which says "Your mission" at the top, has the mission ID already selected, and has a print button at the bottom.
Clear as mud? Let me know if I should post screenshots to make it clearer.
I’m hoping this is helpful information

Inappropriate?Rose,
I was in the middle of writing you a HOWTO tome and you beat me to the punch (in a much clearer and concise way to boot!).
What your describing is the symptom of a bigger problem - the "Printing Card" flow on Akoha needs work. And that's a symptom of an even larger problem still - virtual mission play is currently very clumsy and counter-intuitive.
We've heard great feedback from yourself, @miss_mu and @janafalls and many others to this effect. So we've been talking alot about it at Akoha and there's a game plan forming on how we'll address this.
In the end, the functionality for printing cards is there. As you've discovered though, it's confusing and needs alot of work.
It seems like you've found the answer to your issue, but don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need clarification on something. -
Inappropriate?I still can't figure out how to access the individual mission pages (which have the print buttons) for a mission that I have multiple copies of. Otherwise, yes, the problem seems to be more one of clunky design than of actual brokenness.
