Stop using OnTrac to ship your packages

My company ordered a game through Amazon.com for one of our departing co-workers. It was his going away gift. His last day was a Thursday, and I ordered the game Tuesday night, before midnight.

Thursday rolled around, and still no game. After digging through the Amazon interface, I found out that a company named OnTrac had been contracted to deliver this package. I finally found their Web site and called them. They told me that it wasn't going to arrive at 5 p.m. on Thursday because they didn't have enough drivers to deliver their packages. They said it might arrive on Friday.

Our co-worker walks out at 5 p.m. that Thursday. No package. No gift.

Why would Amazon contract with a company that can't even deliver an overnight package on time? I won't be paying for any more shipping via OnTrac, and I'm calling Amazon to complain, get a refund, and ask them to consider dropping their contracts with OnTrac.

I hate you, OnTrac. I won't ever use your service again. Worst first time experience ever.
