what if u never opened time machine, will u still b able to get iphoto back? -
Inappropriate?I'm confused. Did you delete the application, and if so, how did you "open it back up?" All your iPhoto files are located in a directory on your drive called Pictures/iPhoto Library. If you deleted the iPhoto app those files should still be there in that folder.

Inappropriate?I would like to know how to RECOVER iphoto files from the trash too. Can anyone explain it to a novice?
-
Inappropriate?Dear Betty,
Are the iPhoto files still in your trash can? or are they gone?
- If they are still there, copy them to a new folder or to the desktop, then double click on them, iphoto should open. If it doesn't then right click on the photo and choose "Open with > iphoto" (you can also choose "other..." if you want to open them with a different application).
- If the photos are no longer there, You will have to use other apps such as Klix :
http://www.joesoft.com/products/klix.php
The tricky part of using Klix is that it may require you to scan your mac from another mac using the "firewire target" mode. You can read more about it at Apple's support site.
- Usually the best way to protect your videos, photos and music from accidental deletion is to back it up. Always keep a copy on CD, DVD, external hard disks(you can also use Time Machine if you have Leopard) or an online service like MobileMe.
hope that helps ^_^ -
Inappropriate?sorry marcia, this may not be of any help to you but this has happened to me twice .I cannot for the life of me think how I could have deleted my I-photo application, luckily they were copied on to a disc.My answer was to buy a PC,they,re safer there.
I’m happy,now

If you have your iLife DVD you can install iPhoto again or if you use Time Machine you can get it back faster that way. As for bluetooth you only need to restart the computer, OS X should see it and install the correct drivers... IF you deleted the drivers then you need to do an Archive & install of OS X... -
Me too!! This stupid question mark pops up on both, n now after messin with it they have disappeared n the backround. How do u use the time machine to get them back or jus how to get them back? -
Inappropriate?how could i install iPhoto again without the dvd? thanks.

Inappropriate?I finally got satisfaction by reloading OS , time consuming with all the usual hassels, but it is one way to retrieve an application. There are better ways, time machine back ups etc. but I was to in-ept to figure it out.
