Ugh! More iTunes Download errors on MacBook

iTunes 8.0.2. I keep getting download errors while downloading podcasts onto my Macbook. They seem to be more common since I upgraded to iTunes 8.0.2, but that may be my imagination. I see the following errors: 3150, 9006, and 3259. I sometimes have to restart the downloads several times before they finally complete.

Error 3150 is usually caused by an intermittent internet connection. If you're using Wi-Fi, you'll need to remain in an area with a strong connection until the podcasts have finished downloading. Otherwise, you'll lose the signal and get the 3150 error. If you're using an ethernet connection, your router or modem could be frequently dropping your connection. Your ISP could also be having connectivity issues, but save them for last.

Error 9006 is caused by lack of a working internet connection or a program (like a firewall or security software) blocking iTunes' ability to connect to the internet. This is more than likely a bi-product of the intermittent connectivity causing the 3150 error.

Error 3259 is apparently caused by the same things as the 9006 error, and more than likely a bi-product of the intermittent connectivity causing the 3150 error.

Since you are experiencing both the 9006 and 3259 errors, I recommend that you disable all firewalls and security software, then try to download the podcasts before troubleshooting your connection. Software is always easier to troubleshoot than network connectivity.
