Inappropriate?Mine does this too. I also find that it takes too long to check the statuses, shouldn't they be stored in a local db and refreshed at start, and then whenever it's idle? Would that not be faster?
I’m mad, it makes so much sense!

Inappropriate?mine is doing this also, I posted this last night, here's the link: http://getsatisfaction.com/atebits/to...
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? The same shit, my friends laught at me because of this... damn it.
-
Inappropriate? This seems to be caused by either you or the person you wish to follow having a private twitter account, we are working on a fix.
-
My twitter account is also private -
Inappropriate?I can confirm that my Twitter account is private and I have this issue, but it still shouldn't be a problem. A Twitter API client I've written myself can resolve this issue easily enough (in fact it doesn't have this issue).
I’m curious how this even happens
-
Inappropriate? My account in private as well. When I make it public, the errors disappear and everything works fine. When I put it back to private, the errors show up again.
-
Inappropriate? This happens to me as well -- I have a public & a private account, and I encounter it when trying to follow people from the private account, regardless of whether their account is public.

Totally right... -

Inappropriate? This problem is 50% fixed as I went from not being able to see anyones follow status to it just affecting the people I know with private profiles.
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate?Happens with my private account, whether the follow subject is private or public.
I’m sad
-
Same here -
Inappropriate?Any updates on this? I don't have a private profile, and I get this error for every user I try to check follow status on.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I was chatting to some people yesterday who seemed to think there were some limits imposed by twitter in both the number of people you could follow per hour and the total number of people you could follow. They seemed to think that once you reached 2000 people the number of people you followed couldn't exceed 110% of your follower count.
I think my problem is the number per hour one. It seems to work fine for a while, then stops, then starts working again later.
