Shared backend database for multiple headend installs
Would love to be able to have boxee headends in the family room, exercise room, and bedroom but have the information on movies and tv shows shared. Thanks.

Inappropriate?Absolutely (though maybe a +1 year "luxury" today). This is one of my peeves with Apple lifestyle apps - they need to support common storage (NAS or shared volume) for multi-headend iTunes. iPhoto, etc. I'm not quite there yet with my Mac Mini HTPC (inc. Boxee) - but at some point I will want to home network multiple points of entry. Apple TV, here I come

Inappropriate? This would be awesome, I could then replace all of my wonky MCE Extenders. And / or if boxee could interface with media center extenders.
I’m excited

Inappropriate? That's exactly what I was looking for. I plan to have some dedicated boxee boxes on more than one room at home, and they all should share the same NAS database. Furhermore, all users on the main computer should access it.

Inappropriate? It should use MD5 or SHA1 to identify the files so it is not depending on the actual path or name of the file. So much more flexible in the setup on the different machines.
For instance Windows use E:\ and Linux use /mnt
