255 character max for Invite, used 254 and got Error msg

I was sending an invite and maxed out the available characters - which I could see as I typed. Adjusted my long message to 254 characters, but still got Max error when I went to Send Invite. Can send screen shot. Was able to adjust and send, but wanted you guys to know. Thanks!
