"check in again" and usability
To be honest I don't find the Brightkite website very user-friendly. When I see a button "check in again", how do I know that in fact it means "check in again HERE, at THIS SAME PLACE"? I thought I could use this button to check in at another place. Semantically, "again" is not the same as "at this same place".
Why is the essential function of Brighkite, checking in at a certain place, only accessible AFTER you have searched for a place? The checkin-button should be prominently visible at every page of the Brightkite site.
At this time I think Brightkite is only usable by geeks. I cannot imagine my mother or my grandmother using it. From a usability point of view I think it is very counter-intuitive.

Inappropriate?lvb, thank you for your feedback. I agree that we can improve on a lot of the usability issues people are having. We are working to clarify a number of things on the website to make it more intuitive for all users.
