Inappropriate?Reddog187, we do have plans for a Blackberry app. :)

Inappropriate?any updates on this?

Inappropriate? The blackberry app is still on our road map but has taken a back seat to our API and iPhone clients. We know for a fact that a few developers are working on their own versions for the BB using our API. These will be available soon. We encourage BB and other client development using our API and are excited to see what creative things the community creates.
I’m excited

Inappropriate?Brady, I am new to Brightkite. (today). My company may offer assistance with your BlackBerry application or strategy. We've helped other here. Don't wait for RIM to do a BKite application.
I’m learning Brightkite

Send me an email at - brady at brightkite dot kom we want to know more about what you offer. -
Inappropriate?I've started playing with the brightkite API and created a simple blackberry app that tells you where you are currently checked in at and allows you to check-in at your placemarks. Its called BBPlacemarks. You can find it here: http://bbrtm.org/bbplacemarks/.
I am teaming up with someone to hopefully bring more features and hopefully a full fledged blackberry application. Hopefully BBPlacemarks will help until then...
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Loopt.com offers a Blackberry application. Maybe a little competition will get the ball rolling at brightkite?

Inappropriate?Brady, with the idea of having a Blackberry app, do you know if it will be across the board or certain BB's? I'm assuming all the GPS models. Any input?
-
Inappropriate?It's not that hard already!!!
Pull the coordinates from the device and convert them to decimal format for Longitude and Latitude. Then enter them into a search function using these parameters.
http://brightkite.com/places/search?q...
Or it can use the search function and some other method as long as it pulls the location from the GPS and submits them in the format (LONGITUDE, LATITUDE). The comma and space are important, placing the negative on either if it applies.
That's it! Done! I know GPS devices (it was my job in the Army), and I know web design. I don't know Blackberry so I can't implement it. -
Inappropriate?Buzzd.com offers a fully functional WAP site and is currently building a BlackBerry app. There is also a launcher available for Blackberry via http://blackberry.buzzd.com/lp.php. No BrightKite integration but its another option until BK gets a BBY app

Inappropriate?Check out http://bbhn.mobi and http://brightkite.com/people/brightberry and http://brightberry.googlecode.com its the full featured Brightkite app for the Blackberry
