Britekite looks great. Hope there will be an app for Blackberry. :)
Looking forward to being able to participate in the Brightkite fun. Do you have an app for BlackBerry?

Inappropriate?Hi we are working on a Blackberry app. I can't say exactly when it will be out but expect it sometime in the next few months.
-
Cool. Let me know if you need someone to test it. -
I can't wait.
I interact much more with web apps when they have a great mobile site or a download for blackberry. -
Inappropriate?Until the blackberry application is available you can use Brightkite via the generic mobile site located at:
http://m.brightkite.com -
Inappropriate?are there other apps out there now? I see this has not been updated for 4 months
I’m unsure

Inappropriate?Be sure to register your interest here http://getsatisfaction.com/brightkite... and also maybe comment and have a look at the post on my blog here http://www.g6phf.co.uk/site/?p=137
Thanks
Mike
I’m sad, i need of some blackberry love.

Inappropriate?Loopt.com offers a Blackberry application. Maybe a little competition will get the ball rolling at brightkite?
I’m annoyed
-
Inappropriate?loopt will not progress until it understand it needs to provide world wide coverage.
That said, I believe BK ought to be putting more resources in to creating native apps (rather than adding features to BK) for the most popular mobile platforms. Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Symbian and now Android.
Having a mobile-centric application like BK without the native apps is bad news in my opinion and will hold BK back.
I’m tired of waiting
-
Inappropriate?I agree I prefer BK, however it proves to be annoying standing outside of starbucks sending SMS back and forth to a bot trying to tell it the right starbucks so I can get a new bubble on the map.
For the moment, I don't plan on going outside of California. At least not until I finish my degree. Then maybe the people at brightkite will make an app with functionality like they did for the iPhone. Until then, I'm stuck using loopt. (A wordpress function would be nice too)
I’m just as tired of waiting
-
Inappropriate? For real people. Blackberry application is a must have. You're missing a huge demographic of non Macheads or at least non iPhone heads. Saw the BK application for the iPhone and it was pretty stellar... what's taking so long for the Blackberry version? Looks like over 3-4 months ago this was suppose to be "coming soon"?
I’m confused why this hasen't happen yet...

Inappropriate?@eurotario Have you checked this thread out? http://getsatisfaction.com/brightkite... seems to be more going on there recently.
-
Inappropriate?It's not that hard already!!!
Pull the coordinates from the device and convert them to decimal format for Longitude and Latitude. Then enter them into a search function using these parameters.
http://brightkite.com/places/search?q...
Or it can use the search function and some other method as long as it pulls the location from the GPS and submits them in the format (LONGITUDE, LATITUDE). The comma and space are important, placing the negative on either if it applies.
That's it! Done! I know GPS devices (it was my job in the Army), and I know web design. I don't know Blackberry so I can't implement it. -
Inappropriate?Check out http://bbhn.mobi and http://brightkite.com/people/brightberry and http://brightberry.googlecode.com its the full featured Brightkite app for the Blackberry
I’m happy
