pity but one year later it does not work anymore... I mean that link above http://brightkite.com/places/guess - it kicks for HTTP404 error after major site revamp you've done. Would you please to re-implement it again? You can take this as very good hint http://npdoty.name/location/#developer , second section called "Javascript Geolocation" gave me VERY good result. -
Inappropriate?Hi,
I was very happy to see you did implement it so quick. On the other hand I was disappointed to see the feature doesn't work for me ... Do I have to be in a sudden part of the world? Do I have to be on a public WiFi? Is my WiFi @ home ok? ...
I’m disappointed ...

Inappropriate?Geode and Loki are nothing more than a database of MAC addresses of access points and their location given by "war drivers" or people submitting their own.
I don't know about Geode but I know with Loki you don't even have to be connected to wifi, it works even if you can just see the access point. -
Inappropriate? So, as long as no wardriver passes at my home, I won't be able to find my location via geode?!
Can you give me a clue how I can "wardrive" the Wifi's at my neighboorhood?
I’m thankful

Try submitting your access point's MAC address at <http://www.skyhookwireless.com/howitw...>. It'll take a while to get into the system, but it'll get there eventually.
