Can you stop eating the metadata when posting photos to Flickr?
Hi there - I'm loving the Flickr integration when posting photos; it might just end up becoming the only method I use to upload photos from my iPhone - so easy!
Only thing that's stopping me is the fact that BrightKite eats the metadata on the way to Flickr :( It keeps the location/geolocation metadata, but more cool stuff, like date/time taken, and the camera model (iPhone) disappears! could you possibly fix this sometime soon? :)
Cheers,
Beau

Inappropriate?I agree, disappointing that Brightkite does not seem to pass EXIF data to flickr.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hi tamaracks, it's mostly a privacy issue because you can be in private mode on Brightkite and it would still pass the exact location on to Flickr in the EXIF data. We have a list of improvements to make to our Flickr sharing and this is at the top of it.

I'm less concerned about the location information, since there is an option to tag that through Brightkite. However, there is a lot of other interesting information in the EXIF data, like the model of camera that took the picture. I think it's a shame to lose that, since it produces some interesting statistics on flickr.
I guess the best solution, if possible, would be to edit the EXIF data and remove location if it's private? I don't know how feasible that is, though.
