Inappropriate?You guys are doing great but, I got to tell that I need to leave bkite for now until it become more stable. I know it's not highest list for bkite operation but, at least for me, posting to twitter is a must because almost of all my friends are on twitter instead of bkite now. I know the issue is not only on your side but hope you guys figure out the complete solution.

Ok, I had turned off posting of Notes because I was using something else so to make sure it wasn't on my end I took a photo and sent it in to Brightkite and it didn't get cross-posted.

Inappropriate?This worked perfectly when I 1st joined brightkite, then at some point I accidentally disabled posting to Twitter. Now, despite my best efforts to get it working again, the functionality refuses to work.
Anything else I should troubleshoot?

Did your note from July 22 cross-post to Twitter or did you manually repost that yourself? Since the updates are spaced a couple of days apart, it's possible that our system was unable to connect to Twitter and when this happens it gives up after a few seconds, so your post will not show up. If you don't mind, could you test a few notes spaced within a few hours of each other to see if any of those show up? This will help us determine where the problem is happening. Thanks! :)

Inappropriate?cross posting to Twitter isn't working. emailed a photo tonight. it posted to brightkite fine but didn't cross-tweet.
i posted brightkite notes a while back and that cross-posted fine, so once upon a time all seemed kosher.

Joe, did you post your photo while in Private mode? If so, your settings for "everyone else" will need to be "city" or "exact" for your post to share to Twitter.

Lesley, thanks for the response. I did post it privately initially, but then I realized that and changed my settings to public and re-posted the image. Looking at it again, the image is still set to private, which is odd. I'll post something again soon and report back here how that goes.

Alright, I think I see what's going on. All of your recent posts are "about" posts, which are about the location but are posted without you actually checking in there. These do not share to Twitter by design, which I'll admit is very confusing. If you check in to the location first and then post your activity should share to Twitter just fine.
We have some changes in the pipeline that will improve this behavior, so it will get better soon. Apologies for the confusion. -

I use cross-posting to Twitter from Amplify, even when inserting comments to existing posts; useful feature, i believe; would welcome the same worked with bkite;

Inappropriate?I tried getting this to work yesterday, but no luck. I unauthorized and reauthorized but it still isn't crossposting. I am using the iPhone app to check in and my username is adamjt.
