Need simple way to enter location online
Wish there was a place to update my location on my profile homepage. I logged in, and can't find a link to enter a new location, which is the entire purpose of the site, isn't it?

Inappropriate?OK, I figured out how to check in on my profile page. So it's possible, but maybe the check-in form needs to look less like a search form.

Inappropriate?Also, when searching for businesses, please default the "Where" field to my last check-in city. It's a bit of a pain to have to type in the business and the city/state each time.

I'd like to second this. Google has us all spoiled and I'd really prefer a "onebox" interface. I know it's vastly more complex to implement, but I want to be able to type "Chicago, IL" or "Millennium Park Chicago" or, if I'm already checked in in Chicago, just "Millennium Park," all in the same box. -

Jorah: Enter a location in the Places box at the top (change the drop-down to Businesses if you want to search for a business) and click on Go. Then on the subsequent page click on the "Check in here" button on the right to check in at that place.
Personally I think the Check In Here button should be larger and more central.
