No confirmation code to INQ phone
I recently ported my phone number from a Nokia phone to a new INQ phone. Brightkite would not respond to it when I sent SMS or photos. I deleted the number in Account Settings and re-entered it. Brightkite did not send me a confirmation code for me to enter into the field. Can no longer post to Brightkite from my phone.

Inappropriate?Hi Steve, I'm sorry about that. Unfortunately ported phone numbers are notorious for having trouble with short codes. If you would like to send your number to lesley[at]brightkite.com, I can call our SMS aggregator to see if there is anything they can do for you.

Inappropriate? Thanks Lesley - am sending that information to you right now from the phone in question.

Inappropriate?I can say that other sites that needed a confirmation code to be sent to this number have worked fine. It seems to be only Brightkite that is not getting through to the phone - FB and Twitter have both managed it along with one or two others I seem to recall.

Inappropriate? All seems to be fixed now - got a couple of weird messages come through from Brightkite first asking me to select a precise location out of a choice of 4 (in response to a sms I sent to Brightkite a few days ago), which i did, and sent back and then got a response telling me that I had decided to opt out of Brightkite, so then sent back HELP. That seemed to then register me as a user again...all a bit confusing, but I just re-entered my number on Brightkite website and got a new confirmation code come through, so I guess it is all fixed now. Many thanks Lesely for the quick response.
I’m happy
