Not getting mobile confirmation code.
Trying to register my mobile isn't working (not getting confirmation), and I've used this phone with BK before. I don't think it's a reception problem since I've received other text messages this morning at the same location.

hi....i registered my mobile number for that thingy two months ago. Since then i haven't recieved my confirmation code yet. I heard it should be sent via my cell phone but im frustrated...still waiting for it... -
Inappropriate?Virgin Mobile USA. The confirmation I wrote about came an hour after the request. The next time I tried, two hours later, the confirmation came instantly. I suppose it's a phone problem (it's on the back of photo submission to BK problems); however, I haven't had such problems with attempts to message/send pics to others, so I wasn't certain if it was a phone problem or BK.

Inappropriate?I'm also not getting my confirmation code to my cell phone. My carrier is UNICEL in Vermont.
I've tried multiple times over the last 24 hours with no luck. I've tried entering my phone number as +1802NNNNNNN, 802NNNNNN, and 802-NNN-NNNN.

Morgan, what kind of phone do you have? Do you have a pay-as-you-go plan? -
I have a Motorola RAZR V3. I do not have a pay-as-you-go-plan. It's a standard nationwide plan with a data plan (but no bulk text message plan). -
Morgan, it looks like UNICEL is not a supported carrier. You should still be able to send texts to your @bkite.com email listed under Account Settings -> Mobile. Here you can find our mobile email guide: http://brightkite.com/help/email_guide -
Thanks for the update. Disappointing, but good to know. Is there anything I can do as a customer of UNICEL to encourage them to work with you or is it more that you haven't applied to work with them? -
We use Open Market (http://openmarket.com/) as our aggregator, so unfortunately if they do not support a carrier, we do not either. -
Inappropriate?I have a Sprint phone with an unlimited data and messaging plan, and I'm not receiving messages from BrightKite either -- even though I'm getting them fine from other people.

I've been using area code and phone number, 831NNNNNNN. -

Have you recently ported your number over from a different carrier? Does your phone work with any other shortcode like Twitter? Are you able to send/receive text messages from other people? I can help test this right now if you want to email your mobile number to lesleyATbrightkiteDOTkom. -
Inappropriate?I haven't been able to check in since yesterday. I have been using twitter all day long so my messaging plan should be good. Also, have power cycled phone. I'm on Virgin Mobile. I also tried to delete my phone and re-add it. The confirmation code has not come through yet.

I had to delete my phone again and it's fixed. never got a response from lesley or others from brightkite. odd. -

Hi dik, unfortunately it looks like LMT is not a supported carrier. If you have a data plan and can send text messages to an email address you can use your xxxx@bkite.com email to send updates from your phone. Sorry we can't be of more help. -

Inappropriate?I have this problem too, I was getting texts and emails of updates both and had been registered for months, but when the short code changed, I got nada, I even tried sending 'help' to 41414 and the old short code and got no reply, I then deleted my number on my account here and tried to re-register, and now get no confirmation code, my carrier is AllTel and I know in this market (Phoenix, AZ) they are currently going through a conversion to Verizon as I got an email a bit more than a week ago that the weekend of 10/17 they would be converting over to the verizon billing system and there would be a change on how I log into my account to view bills, call details, etc.
