Places w/Correct Addresses Mapped Incorrectly
Some of the places that I have checked in at are listed with correct address but are incorrectly located in the "map" view. These places are...
* Fitz Willys @ 23 Main St, Northampton, MA 01053, USA
* Sweeties Fine Chocolate @ 68 Main St, Northampton, MA 01053, USA
* Starbucks @ 211 Main St, Northampton, MA 01053, USA
The first two are mapped into the town next to Northampton (Florence). Starbucks is mapped in across the river in Amherst.

Inappropriate?In some cases via SMS, in others it was through the web interface from my iPhone.
I understand, although in these cases the address itself was correct. Being able to edit the business data wouldn't allow me to correct the display on the map (the correct address is somehow mis-mapped). -
Inappropriate?Same problem exists for "171 Main St., Hoover, AL 35244" - map is just plain wrong. Google maps seems to have more updated info than BrightKite.1 Comment

Dwilkins, I get frustrated with this as well. Currently, we use Google's public geocoder which sometimes does not match Google Maps. For the time being, if you have an address that is showing up incorrectly or is not found, you can use the latitude-longitude to find that location and then placemark it for easier checkins. Soon you will be able to drag and drop your location on a map and checkin that way. -

Andrew, what's the location that you updated? Sometimes there is a delay between the changes made on Google Maps and when they update their API. We can look into it.
