Stopping using Brightkite - no longer works
I've been using Brightkite for a long time now, but the iPhone app never works these days (not finding anything close to where I am). I don't like the way the privacy settings have changed - I was very happy with the way they were, providing more options to level of privacy. And so, I am now looking at alternate solutions for logging my location. I'm a bit disappointed because Brightkite used to work well.

Inappropriate?BK has been screwed up in many ways since the "upgrade", and the user support has pretty much disappeared. They're not active on GetSatisfaction at all now, and instead are using tenderapp - but even over there, all they ever say is "we're aware of the issue and are working on it" (still no fix weeks later though) or "thanks for your comments". As you say, BK used to work well. Now it doesn't.
I've been sticking with BK in the hope that things would improve, because I figured I'd miss it if I ditched it. But then I realised: I miss it anyway, because most of what was good about BK is already gone. Time to ditch it, I guess.
I’m thinking BK's heyday has come and gone.
