Suggestion: Selective Cross-posting
One little feature I would go crazy for: Selective cross-posting (ESPECIALLY on the iPhone app). There should be an easy way to toggle whether or not you want an update to be posted to twitter/facebook when updating. Not all of my Brightkite updates are meant to be Twittered of Facebooked, but having to go to the settings and disable cross posting is kind of lame.

Inappropriate?Hi thechexican, this is something we've thought about, but we don't have any plans for it in the near future. The biggest issue is how that would scale as we add more sharing services into the mix, it would get cluttered fast.

Inappropriate?thechexan, have you tried ping.fm? It will do almost exactly what you want.
(I'm using Ping to juggle my Brightkite and Twitter accounts -- if I want an update to appear on both services, I send it through Ping, but if I want the update to only appear on one service, I send it directly to that service.) -
Inappropriate?Ping.fm does this very well, but Brightkite has some nice intergrations that it's a shame to lose. Plus, posting from specific locations is much easier from the Brightkite client. On the iPhone, there is a ping.fm client, but it only posts the nearest street location based on GPS, you can't choose a particular named location. And, I admit, I like the idea of having one less service to worry about.
I post regularly to Twitter, Brightkite, and Facebook. Ideally, I like to post things either to all three or to Twitter and Brightkite together without Facebook. For a while, I used ping.fm to achieve this, but for reasons stated above, I decided to try going back to the Brightkite client. So, now, I post things that go to all three through Brightkite, and if I don't want it to show up on Facebook, I post only to Twitter. Of course, this is just my personal preference of where I want posts to go. You can't beat ping.fm for flexibility in this type of situation, but they do have some reliability issues sometimes. -
Inappropriate?I agree would be great.
