Uploading Flickr photos to Brightkite
Can I post photos to Brightkite from Flickr? That is, upload the photo as a link to my Flickr account instead of as an image file? I do not want to have to upload my photos twice, both to Flickr and to Brightkite.

Inappropriate?Bsvingen, we're currently working on Flickr integration, but that will be publishing your Brightkite pics to Flickr and not the other way around. We may consider uploading from Flickr in the future, but there's a few more things we have to take into account with that.

OK, thank you. A simpler way of achieving the same thing might be to allow uploading pictures as links instead of as files. -
Inappropriate?i hope you guys eventually develop this feature id love to see it happen :)
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Sharing to Flickr is now available! You can set it up under Account Settings -> Sharing. Right now you can just upload with optional geotagging, but soon you'll be able to allow uploads to a specific set.
I’m excited

This is good. I would, however, like to repeat my original request for doing this in the other direction. There is already infrastructure in place for posting pictures to Flickr, in the form of tools, plugins etc. - myself I use a plugin for Aperture which automatically handles sets, keywords, geotagging and so on before uploading to Flickr. Tools like these are not likely to be available for Brightkite, so it does not make sense for me to use BK to upload to Flickr. I want to be able to upload to Flickr the way I'm already doing, and then post the photos already on Flickr to BK. Thanks. -
Inappropriate? Is there any chance of getting photos to BK via mms rather than having to send them to an email address (which doesn't work for me, but would cost me more even if it did)?
-
Inappropriate?Since MY BK account is interacting with MY flickr account, and it can upload the photos to flickr as friends and family only, is there any way this can share across even when in private mode?
-
Inappropriate?Notsheep, we do have plans to support MMS in the future but right now not many carriers support sending them to short codes and it's also very expensive.
Nattyem, we have plans to do that as well (same goes for sharing to Twitter and Facebook), but we don't have an ETA at this time.
