Why is the text for bumptop all boxes when I scroll over commands?

I've looked through the forum and can't find anyone with a similar problem.

I'm using English as my language. Initially when bumptop started up ALL text (for icons and for the instructions at the beginning and throughout the program) was boxes, as if I didn't have the right font. I installed Candara for the Icons and that worked. I still have a problem with the text in the program when I scroll over something being boxes.

I don't know if the program uses a different font than I currently have or what, but I can't read anything it tells me as I'm using the program. Please help. I really like this idea but this issue is very puzzling and frustrating.

Bumptop not starting correctly in Vista, no error messages.

When I click "Show Bumptop" all that happens is that all of the icons on my normal desktop disappear. I am left with the taskbar and my wallpaper. The only way to restore my icons is to quit Bumptop. Bumptop doesn't appear to be crashing because I can still right click the tray icon and quit, no problem. I haven't seen any error messages. I have never seen the actual 3D bumptop yet. What could be causing this?

New VIP Update - BumpTop 1.1 VIP Preview!

A new VIP update is now available, build 3312. This is a preview to a major update (v.1.1) and contains a bunch of bug fixes, performance enhancements and Windows 7 multitouch support!

Multitouch features will require a Windows 7 RC or newer build with Windows 7 certified pen/touch capable hardware. A Pro key will be required to fully test ALL of the features.

To get this update, email us at feedback@bumptop.com with subject "VIP Tester"

Again, please email us as well if you plan on installing this update - we need VIP testers who help us fix bugs, so we need to be able to contact you. Please make sure you include your email address EACH TIME BumpTop crashes, so we can follow up with you!

I downloaded the drivers at the bottom of the page, but the device manager sort of sniffed and said "Those are the drivers I already have installed."

Bump Top still says "unable to initialize 3D hardware acceleration." What's plan B?

How can you change the email programme. I get an error message to say the email programme cannot be found, which if its standard windows is most likely its not installed

BumpTOP won't start. Any help?

Hi!

I've downloaded the newest version of BumpTop. After installation just a black box opens up. I think this used to be the splash-screen. It disapears, but no BumpTop GUI shows up. When I click it in the lower-right corner my Icons hide, but no 3d desktop...
I already checked and unchecked some of the options, but nothing happens.

I uninstalled it and reinstalled it but I just can't get it running.

My System:
Vista 64bit ultimate and plenty of power ^^ (crysis runs ok on dx10, so BumpTop should be able to run at least slow ;) )

Any idea welcome.

Bump Top crashed Vista on install.

When I installed Bump Top this morning on my Vista 32bit system (Gateway) and hit "finish", both my laptop screen and second monitor went white with light blue lines and froze (White screen of death?).

I restarted my system and, after and extended load time, a notice came up about openoffice accessibility and froze the computer again. After a couple of restarts and more frozen computer, I started my system in safe mode and tried to uninstall the program (figuring it to be malicious). I couldn't uninstall any part of the program in safe mode. I finally got through to some part of a functioning system and did a system restore to before program installation. On restart the computer would run, but there were still instances of the program remaining in the program files.

I think Bump Top is incredibly interesting and am dying to try it out, now that I know it's not malicious, but I certainly do not want it affecting the performance of my system. Any information/insight would be greatly appreciated!

startup problems w/Latitude E4200, XP

Dell Latitute E4200 runinng Windows XP Since installing bumptop my machine will not come out of hibernation. the startup stalls out, I get a black screen w/HD activity on, have to pull battery. Haave taken Bumptop out of start menu and boot up is ok.

is thee a help file or user guide of some sort (beside the demo video) - I could not locate it in an obvious place - missing that means that one has to stumble around to put this promising program to work and few people have that time luxury

Error writing to MSVCP80.dll during install on Windows 7 x64

During installation I get an error writing to MSVCP80.dll. Googling the error shows nothing. All updates are installed with latest graphics driver. Windows 7 x64 build 7000.

I downloaded BumpTop but when I try to start it comes this messages up: BT is unable to initialize 3D hardware acceleration. Please update to latest drivers for your video card and relaunch BT.
I have Asus F3Jseries with Ati RADEON X2300 graphic card. Driver Version: 7.14.0010.0464 (English). I ́ve tired to update graphic card but It always failes. Is there any help for my computer. I want BT

Hey there - saw this programme on Ted.com - totally amazing!
However have just done a clean install on my laptop - and as I'm a tidy sort of person - everything is neatly on the 'customized' walls - so got nothing to play with! :(
Come on boys - give us something to get that physics stuff working!
Bit sad I know - as I'm supposed to be a grown women - and I have a 14 year old son - (who I might add - was convinced because I liked it he wouldn't be remotely interested - after 5 mins asked me to download it onto his laptop! lol)

Clocks, Calenders and new photo frames

I think that BumpTop should have calendars and clocks.
It would be a great feature and add to the whole realistic desktop feel of things.
Also I think that the photo frames should have actual frames, or customizable frames, instead of the current, black transparent fram that they have now.

BumpTop is not downloading the latest version build 3038.
I uninstalled Bumptop reinstalled Bumptop and it still says its build 3007.

Why it is do slow?!! if i for example playin' some game, or surfin' web, after i end, and close some full-screen window - BumpTop doesn't work! And i have to wait for about 10 - 30 seconds when it wakes up!! =((
