Clean Desktop: A way of getting BT to look in folders instead of desktop!
I want my desktop clean and I don't want to store a lot of files, pictures and .exe's on in. Basically I don't want anything on it and I store my different files in different folders.
I have two suggestions but I'm not certain which one is best:
1. There should be a way where you can have Bumptop look in selected folders for files, almost like an mp3 player. One for documents, one for pdf's, one for mp3's and so on. Once you add a pdf to that folder, it automatically appears on Bumptop.
2. A way of getting Bumptop to access the files "where they are" ie. having mutliple items on Bumptop, but have them located on several different folders? I don't want all my documents (in a folder) on bumptop, but only certain.
3. A combination of the two alternatives.
Cheers

Inappropriate?I think #1 is a very good idea.

Inappropriate?I like this idea - I was wondering if there could be dynamic shortcuts built into BumpTop, where you drag a file or folder from any location and have it appear on BumpTop (like a normal shortcut) but have it update if you change the location of the file/folder.
So, if I drag a folder of photos from d:/photos and create a dynamic shortcut on the BumpTop desktop, it looks like a pile of photos that you can flick through on the desktop and if I then change the location of the folder to e:/old-photos, (while BumpTop is running), then the shortcut wouldn't need to be updated.
Sounds tricky, but I think it could be possible.
I’m excited

Inappropriate? For the second idea: maybe implement a system similar to the Libraries in Windows 7?
Libraries to exactly as you described, you see.
