Its awesome that you are so excited to try our beta and we really thank you for your patience. We've had overwhelming demand for the beta and are scaling it up as fast as we can and hope to have an invite for you soon. We are releasing more invites all the time. If you have any other questions post here or email us at feedback@bumptop.com

well i mean what can you do E.G.: can you think of great ideas quickly can you program well are you a graphic artist I mean like that and sending regular feed back could potentially help -

Inappropriate?Look's like I'm going to wait a while.
I have done some programming, and still learning programs like C++, Python, and others.
I’m concerned

Inappropriate?I joined the mailing list for bumptop a very long time ago, possibly over 12 months now, and I recieved an invite to the beta tester team a few days ago.
Bear in mind, as 'awesome' and 'cool' you think it is, they are looking for people to beta test it, which means use it, abuse it, find it's flaws and faults, push it to it's absolute limit and see what happens, with the aim of it becoming, ultimately, stable, so it can be publicly released without major bugs.
This is the reason why all the features you're all complaining about not being there AREN'T there. The features are being released gradually, as with any beta testing program, everything gets developed then tested in-house during the alpha phase, then it's released for beta. Bigger companies can do this in house, but the easiest way is to ask small sections of the public to do their work for them. It's cheaper, more efficient and let's the consumer evaluate the product and give their thoughts before public release. Smiles all round.
While it still helps to some extent, kids playing around with it and generally not being able to report things isn't helpful in the broader sense. You will all eventually be able to have it, you just need to wait and practise a degree of assertiveness. Sending constant emails whinging about not being sent an invite won't get you anywhere. Although I know the BumpTop team will certainly not discriminate against age or background in use of computers and so on, as I have stated, this is the beta testing phase. If you wait until the final poduct is released, you'll get all the shiny pretty features you're pining for then get bored of it within a week because it's meant to be practical, not entertaining, at least in the 'It's not a toy it's a tool' sense.
Be patient, kids. You'll get your turn.
I’m annoyed. Be patient.

You hit the nail on the head. Thanks for your longtime support SerFox! -
Inappropriate?Beta... Do want T_T
-
Inappropriate?I really don't mean to sound like a bother here, but I'm starting to wonder why I haven't received a Beta invite. I signed up on the mailing list a long time ago, I think it's been almost 2 years, it was around the time the TED presentation was first released on youtube, so long in fact that I can't remember which of my email accounts I used to sign up. I was very excited about this product as i've done some Beta testing before, as well as some programming of my own, and enjoy putting beta programs "through their paces" as it were. Also the idea of a 3-dimensional, physics enabled desktop existing in a physical space intrigues me a great deal. The BumpTop environment especially looks like it has a good feel to me and I've been waiting patiently and am very anxious to put the screws to it and see what it can do.
-
Inappropriate?NCP: The reason is probably because the email you used to sign up with has an invite and you can't remember which. The account you used might be dead, even.
-
Inappropriate?Let me rephrase. I only have two email accounts, always have. I just can't remember which of those two I used when i signed up for the mailing list. Both are still active and I check them almost daily.
-
Inappropriate?im not trying to sound angry but if you really want people to try your product, make it a public beta. it will help you get all of the bugs or most of them and it will get more people trying it out.
I’m chewie
-
I like his idea lol -
You're definitely right, and we are very close to doing this. We just wanted to make sure it was ready and the thousands of beta testers have helped make that happen. Soon Chewie! -
Inappropriate?but what is soon a month or a year thats what i mean. if it doesnt become public soon people wont want it anymore.
-
Inappropriate?I cant wait to get my invite... so far I've just been reading everything I can on it and putting in my suggestions.
Been waiting 2 months nearly, but hey, these guys are very busy with all the suggestions already coming in.. so I'm being patient and waiting for my turn to try out this awesome piece of software.
I’m Excited
