Did you try and delete the install file, then letting Bumptop re-download it yet? -
Rename the installer to BumpTopInstaller.msi if you get this error - this should resolve the problem for now. -
Inappropriate? So far, the only problems I am having with it are:
1) Changes made to the Win 7 desktop background are not being reflected.
2) Some images being dropped to the widgets \data folder aren't loading correctly. They seem to work fine on the desktop.
3) When using MT, I can't right click the desktop anymore :( There is a whole set of features you will be making users miss out on.
Other than that. It's all good so far. Q. Other than Resize, Pan and Zoom, what other MT features are enabled so far?
-
We have more MT gestures - but we're not ready to release them yet =) More details soon... -
Any work around for the right click? -
We disabled right click since the nTrig firmware for the TX2/XT2 causes problems with gesture detection. So even if you have multiple fingers down, the right click menu would kick in and block all other gestures in BumpTop.
We'll likely have to add in a call from inside BumpTop. -
Inappropriate?renaming didn't work - I didn't get the error message - but the installer fell over after the preliminary unpacking or whatever its doing -
-
Inappropriate?I don't know if this is an issue yet, but, Scene still pauses when an icon like the trashbin or a clock are updated. Sometimes the pause is up to a second or two.

Ian - I'll email or post again in the morning and we can get this sorted =) -
Inappropriate?I noticed that on selecting the .msi installer - in the mouse right click context menu there was an item called "repair" - I ran that, then it installed ok! - so I've got it running now...
-
Sorry about the troubles, Ian. Really appreciate your patience in getting it to work! -
Inappropriate?Had to abort the initial installation; could not overwrite BTShExt.dll. Closed the toolbar in Explorer and restarted. Installation worked - this is on Vista Ultimate. BTW can you have more than one Twitter gadget showing?
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate?I select a camera angle and apply, close dialog..
then double click on desktop = camera angle resets to default
I’m here
-
Double clicking on the desktop is meant to reset the camera position. Is this confusing for you? Our intent was that if you were using a tablet, tapping the desktop twice would bring you back to your original location. -
Inappropriate?Well then why did you make new camera angels? If I accidently double click on the desktop then I have to go to settings again to set the camera angle, if I want other than default

Inappropriate?Very nice update, though it's a pretty basic one for the average xp home user.. I really hope you'll now could set the priorities all over and set the attention on the "direct user experience" - the camera change is super cool now what about safety options like saving locations of icons, not copying files by mistake while bumping, categorize groups of icons for auto arrange by a location, i'm still looking for the emphasise on the order and convenience.. not the "fun". it should be a "working" tool WITH fun - work first i think.. otherwise i would say start speading little guys or cars between the icons :-P that's not the direction i hope... would be nice to have after about 5 whole versions maybe. i've expected more/something else
I’m sad
