Keyword Monitoring and Search
Provide a better interface for sharing and monitoring keywords within my organization.
- Add search keywords to the main interface in the sidebar
- Search notifications (email/sms)
- More advanced search (localization etc...)

Inappropriate? We are currently working on providing some new features around keyword monitoring and search.
The company and 3 other people think
this is one of the best points

Inappropriate?I'm loving the application, but keyword tracking would bring cotweet closer to being the complete twitter managing application. I was actually creating a support ticket myself for the issue before I saw this post!

Inappropriate?seeing keywords or searches as mentions and DM's appear would be great

Inappropriate? This would be superb. I love the idea of allowing our team to be 'on' or 'off-duty' for search terms, just like twitter accounts and benefit from the same on-duty email alerts.
Great work. Co-tweet is solid gold.

Inappropriate? This was my suggestion before I found this thread....Allow a user to view a boolean twitter search within cotweet, subscribe to the search results feed in cotweet (so all usrs can reference the search together), and send assignments to users when certain keywords from search results appear. Would allow more proactive management of community and earlier engagement in conversations.
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?Search also does not seem to be tied to the channel. When I use search and I want to assign a tweet to someone, I have to first select my channel. This makes assignment much slower.
-
Inappropriate? It would be great if you could add searches in the same way you add accounts. I use Twitter to search for links to content that we want to use. I need to go through all the results for certain search terms and then set a task to investigate the promising tweets.
I’m excited

Inappropriate?I would switch over from TweetDeck to CoTweet without hesitation if you were to add this feature. Please let me know if it ever gets incorporated!

Inappropriate?purdy please!

Inappropriate? One of the key considerations for me is localization. Some of the keywords I need to track are only relevant if they are used by people in a specific geographic area (one state). I hope you'll include this in your feature set.

Inappropriate? This would be the best addition to CoTweet ever. I've been test driving CoTweet for a day or so and this was the immediate feature that came to mind that it was missing.
I’m confident

Inappropriate? Not having columns for search, keyword, DMs, mentions and user groups totally kills CoTweet. This feature should display results in columns just like Hootsuite or TweetDeck. This is the only feature set that is preventing our company from fully adopting CoTweet.
Like Hootsuite, the searches and notifications should be tied to each account so they load when that account is loaded.
I think putting DMs and mentions as standards in the Inbox sidebar would be ok, but the searches need to be column bases (or at least have a column view) so I can view them side by side as at a glance. This is the main draw back of having "boxes" -
Hi Adam,
CoTweet does have Columns for search keywords. Just click on "Search Twitter" in the header bar and enter your query into the search field. This post is regarding integrating search into the main timeline. -

Hi Kyle,
Can you build complex searches or ones with a specific location, similar to a "term a OR term b near:Tennessee" query on search.twitter.com?
Thanks,
John -
You can definitely do complex searches as I have ones for things like "London Skate OR Skating OR Skater" although I'm not sure about "near" queries as they are horribly unreliable even using Twitters search -
Inappropriate?would love to have a set of subscribed keywords on the left hand side of my cotweet that i could just click and see (also get notified of new tweets to under that search term).
Currently, I use pretty advanced + and - terms on an RSS alert, but if it was built into co-tweet, that would be awesome (i was surprised to find that it didn't already exist)
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Hey everyone, we've pushed out a big update to search. Have a look!
-
awesome, will it show a count of new results and notify us of new terms? I use RSS Menu for this currently and it's been awesome to respond to new tweets of people talking about us.
