Alpha Phase Feedback Post Here
Alpha Test participants should let us know about their experiences with CRASHBOMB here. We are curious about any feedback you have. We have built CRASHBOMB because, as gamers, we need it. But we also know that we can't make it great without a lot of tuning and tweaking. So let us know what is working, what isn't and what you'd like to see on CRASHBOMB.

Inappropriate?Where are the Intellivision games? Can't find them on CB, even though they are in Freebase.
I’m anxious

Inappropriate?Hi - Just got my invite this week, so have been going through and adding games. Some suggestions I have...
-Ability to select multiple games and add them all at once (i.e.-add all checked games), if I do a search for mario a bunch of games come up, and currently they all have to be added individually.
- A lot of games have broken image icons for box art. I know you're pulling from an 3rd party db (I think?) but maybe you could check for artwork somehow. Also, some games have duplicate consoles listed.
-Right now I have no friends on the site (so I haven't added any), but there's no way to browse profiles (that I can see). And is there even a direct link to my profile page? If I wanted to say, hey check me out on Crashbomb, I'd have to tell someone to sign up and then search for my user name? Instead of saying go to crashbomb.com/users/username/ Or is this just a function of the testing site and will be added when fully live?
-Not a huge deal, but your /media/ dir. lacks an index page which lets you browse around
-Not your fault, but transparent pngs don't render properly in IE6 (which I have to use at work)
-Maybe integrate some gaming news headlines RSSs? -
Inappropriate?DavidM,
Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I am happy to say that bulk adding is on the list. We have heard this request from several folks, and it is getting closer to completion.
In general, we are also working on improving our integration with Freebase.com. I don't want to make any promises at this point, but any info about oddness in what the search results return or the data supplied for games is very welcome. Can you tell us what games you found with duplicate console entries?
Game Data varies widely and we try to support everything Freebase contains, so it's always useful to collect interesting test cases. I have started this discussion to note any weird game results or display issues we see. Please add any game titles you've had issue with to this discussion.
Unfortunately IE6 will probably always be a bit under-supported, but we try to fix any errors when we get time. We'll also hope that your work eventually allows you to use a modern browser! We do support IE7. (As well as FF, Safari, Opera and Chrome.)
Integrating gaming news and RSS is an interesting idea. Please feel free to begin a discussion about what kinds of data would be interesting to you in the context of CRASHBOMB.
We do have a strong belief that we need to keep CRASHBOMB simple, quick and uncluttered. But we love to hear ideas about features. So always feel free to begin discussions about what you would like to see on the site and we'll definitely be reading those as we plan out our future development.
Thanks again for the feedback,
Shawn
I’m appreciative.

Definitely Bionic Commando lists NES twice, and I think there were others, but I'm not positive.
Yea, I use Safari at home and experience no problems, I know it's a limitation of the browser and not you.
Perhaps just some headlines or something at the top in the space to the right of the user name/above the search box. Kotaku, Joystiq, Gametab etc on a rotating/scrolling basis. But I understand your desire to keep the page as uncluttered as possible. These days gaming/gamers are more than just playing games, they're watching speedrun videos, and reading walkthroughs, and cosplaying, and going to convetions. But every feature you add, will eventually detract from another, but on the other hand no one wants to go to 8,945 different sites to get what they want. -
Inappropriate?Whoops! This was just a bit of a typo. So sorry it worked its way through to production. Thanks for the extra eyes! Fixed now.
I’m glad it's fixed!
