Labels on templates with link-page macro
Hi,
im using the \{link-page\} macro with the template parameter. in this template i defined predefined labels. after a page is being created, the predefined label from the template got lost. i know the possibility to use the "labels" parameter, but for usability reasons this is not a working solution for us.
Can you tell me, whether this will be fixed or advice me how i can fix it?
Thanks a lot!

Inappropriate? This has actually already been fixed for the next version. In the meantime, you can use the {add-label} macro from the Label Tools plugin from Atlassian. We use that on our site currently.

Hi David,
thank your for that good news. Any idea when the next version will be available? -
Hi David,
is this issue fixed with Linking Plugin v. 2.7.0?
Thanks in advance! -
Inappropriate? It was actually fixed in Scaffolding 3.2.0 (it was added to the {live-template} macro functionality), so if you're running that version of Scaffolding, it will be fixed, yes.
-
Does {live-template} offer the same functionality as {link-page}? If not, will this error be also fixed in the Linking Plugin 2.7.0? -
Inappropriate?{link-page:...|live=true} uses {live-template} to actually execute the template, so the short answer is yes, if you have Scaffolding 3.2.0 installed.
-
Independant from Scaffolding 3.2.0: Will this bug be explicitly fixed in Linking Plugin? If yes, is this fix included in Linking Plugin 2.7.0? -
Inappropriate?Nothing was done in Linking 2.7.0 to resolve any issues with labels. Are you using 'live=true' or is this with standard templates?
-
Hi David,
it is with standard templates. we cant use live=true, because this works different. we use standard templates and want to add a page from a template with the defined labels there, without passing the labels parameter.
Is there a way to fix this? -
Inappropriate?I had the same problem with the add-page macro (labels on templates being lost) in version 2.6.8 of the Linking Plug-in. (Note, we do not have Scaffolding installed, so the live=true flag is not an option for us.)
Upgrading to 2.7.0 did not fix the problem (we are on Confluence 2.10.1, so that may be relevant here).
However, downgrading from 2.6.8 to 2.6.5 did fix the problem!
I’m happy

Hey fred!
Thank your very much for your comment. We also downgraded to 2.6.5 and labels from templates are not being lost anymore (which is great)!
@Peter: Is it possible to get this functionality also to the newest codeline? -
Inappropriate?Hi Peter,
what do you think: Is it possible to get this functionality also in the newest codeline? -
Inappropriate?Hi guys,
I've created a bug report - I suggest adding yourselves as "watchers" to that issue for updates.
