Hi. I found my timeline that I created when Dipity was connected through Facebook. I would like to continue to add/edit the timeline, but can't log in since the account was established through Facebook and not Dipity. What should I do? Sorry if this has been answered already.

Once articles are added to a Joomla site, will dipity be able to pull them through to their system?

Just a thought and would be a great addition to the dipity system.

I know I'm not the first to request this, but...

Duration bars (as opposed to single points with duration labels) would be really helpful. Sometimes, you want to *show* the length of the period, so you can visually compare durations or see overlaps; sometimes you want to represent an entire period (say, a bar called "high school" that is four years long) while at the same time highlighting specific events within it (say, adding a separate point for the day of the prom).

I know you're concerned that too many duration bars could cause visual clutter, but if you make them optional ("show with a point "or "show with a bar"), we could use them only when we needed to.

I edit the map location, but the changes don't stick. They keep reverting back to the original.

What size should my logo be that I upload to dipity? It keeps coming in blurry, even though the original size is larger than the size on dipity.

I know RFC 822 only allows dates from 1900 and higher, but is there any dc tag we can use to get more expansive date representations? I have some nice art collection feeds I'd love to represent on a timeline, and I'm using dcterms:temporal for other custom stuff and it works great, but dipity only seems to look at pubDate and we're stuck...

Some quick searching shows lots of people want this, or some version of this. Any tips, or do we just need to keep waiting?

The data in our timeline (www.dipity.com/ircam) is imported in the simile format, with a precise date, e.g., start="Thu, 24 Sep 1981 00:00:00 UTC".

In all cases, it is displayed as the 15th of the (correct) month and year, i.e., incorrectly.

Moreover, when there is a date range (start="..." end="..."), the end field is ignored.

My timeline keeps reverting back to an older version, both on the main Dipity site, as well as the embedded version on my own website. The only way to fix this is to add a new event to the timeline - doing so brings the timeline back up to date. Is this something I'm doing wrong, and if so, how can I stop this from happening?

Is Dipity purely a SaaS, or can we download and install it in our closed environment? We'd like to consider using it within our corporate Wiki.

i don't want a link border to appear on images that appear in the popup description boxes (this is so internet 1990s and visually unappealing on most of my images). how can I remove this?

1. It's no longer possible to delete a picture by erasing the url in the text box. Why can't we delete a picture from an entry anymore?

2. It would look so much better if the picture on the description tab were aligned on the right rather than the left. If that's not possible, I would rather the picture were not shown on the description tab at all--I would also rather the picture tab didn't show the description. Basically, I want to know if there's any chance you'll make these things customizable. And if not, have you considered the advantages of right alignment? Paragraphs look about the same either way, but lists don't look right with the picture on the left.

3. In the entries I made in the previous version of Dipity, the pictures appear just as I expect them to. However, in the new version, when I add a picture, it appears with dark gray bars on either side--except in the timeline view where the bars are on the top and the bottom to form a square. It looks terrible. Also, while the older pictures are sized so as to fill most of the window in the picture tab, the new ones I add are more shrunken, so they only fill about half. Is there any way to get rid of these bars so my new entries can look as good as my old ones?

I would like to use Dipity in Spanish. I am frustrated because Dipity seems like a cool site but it doesn't seem like there is any way to change the language to Spanish. I would like to use this site to teach Peruvian children about the Ring of Fire and using timelines, but they only speak Spanish so it looks like we won't be able to use it right now if it's only in English.

How can I delete images from events? (or any other collateral material, for that matter)

Once I add an image, there's no way to drop the image without deleting the event and recreating it! I added an image that inconsistently displays and I have to delete the whole event to fix it.
