Facebook should release a desktop client for Facebook Chat.
The biggest problem with Facebook Chat is that you have to keep a Facebook page open in your browser all the time.
Facebook should release a desktop client that can keep running in the background. I think if Facebook did this, a lot of people would stop using other IM networks like MSN/Yahoo/AIM, and instead use Facebook Chat.
A desktop client would also make it easier for FB to move into audio and video chat too.
There has been very little progress over the last few years in the IM market, it could do with Facebook coming in and shaking things up a little.

Inappropriate? There are already multi-network clients that can connect to Facebook chat, like Trillian, Digsby (both for Windows), or Adium (for Mac).
