My Facebook Account has been disabled.

This is not being disabled by Facebook.

You see, Facebook has so much information that they have to store it on many many servers. When they do updates, they don't do it to all servers at once, or else it would create chaos. Not to mention it's harder to update that way.

Your facebook account just so happens to be located on a Facebook server in the process of updates and fixes right now. Be patient, you'll get back on. The same thing is happening to me right now also, and has happened before.

If you were truly disabled by Facebook, you'd get a message whenever you tried to log on stating that you were disabled by an administrator and to email them at a given address for more details or to get your account back. Trust me, I should know. A few of my friends were actually disabled before.

Sit tight, things will work out fine :)

me too....for 3 days I have not been able to log into FaceBook. This sucks as I use this for work as well.

Mine has been down for 3 days now as well, how long does it take for them to do updates :( I guess I didn't realize how addicted to Facebook I was :( Please let me know if anyone figures out how to get back on!!!

Just one day so far, here in Singapore. But the same message... there are posts that state from FB that they should have it fixed within 24 hours. But it is Facebook, after all.. :)

Just so you know, you CAN create a new account in the meantime. And you old account DOES show up on the new account.. just you can't interact with it (like adding it as a FB Friend).

Day 4 and still no change and no response to my 7 emails! This sucks! Come on FaceBook, at least let us know you are aware!

I'm on the fourth day now as well. Anyone have an email adresse to someone in the facebook team, or a support thingy? Would be nice to know what the heck is going on, it is frustrating me.
I'm in Norway, just so you know that the problem excists here as well.

Well, thats a start, at the least!

but did they say they were aware via the email they used to reply to every complaint? I got a generic reply which says they do not respond to every complaint. I also sent they a pic of the page they requested in the same generic email. I am in the US, so it seems the problem is universal

I have been down since Sunday 10.5.2009. Its free, so I guess I can't complain, but I enjoy facebook. They should at least give an ETA. Contacting their help desk is impossible because it seems you have to "Log In" to do it. I can't "Log In." If anyone gets a message on the ETA of when it will be fixed please let me know. Also if anyone has an actual email address, that would be appreciated.

I too have been unable to log into Facebook since Saturday, October 3, 2009. Got the same email from tech support after reporting my problem asking for a screenshot. Have received no reply from the 3 emails I have sent to that email. Very frustrated with this whole thing. The least they could do is send out a blanket email letting us know that yes they know there is a problem, no the don't know what it is and so therefore have no idea when it will be fixed. Cuz then at least I would feel like they care about it. Oh well.

One week and still unable to log in...........BUMMER!

Well, it's back. It was down a total of 4 hours or so, not bad at all. Sorry facebook.

My facebook account has been unavailable since this morning. Hopefully it will come back today. If not, i'll just get back on myspace.

please help, im 14 with autism, this is bringing me close to a full mental breakdown for the love of god facebook sort this out (pretty pease with a cherry on top)
