Hi Eric.
Are you running 2.7 or 2.x? If you are running 2.7, could you please upgrade to 2.7: we recently added support for full screen in the new video player (see http://blog.feedly.com/2009/10/27/new... ).
You can get 2.x from: http://update.feedly.com/release/feed...

I am on this version: 2.x.104 (build 4870) -
Inappropriate?I just updated to the latest version, 2.x.151 (build 5069), and lack of fullscreen continues.
JWPlayer has a fullscreen button but it does not work when clicked however the player allows you to force it to go fullscreen by right clicking and select "Toggle Fullscreen". (tested with Revision3 videos)
YouTube has the fullscreen button removed because of the code.
Example : http://youtube.com/v/oi8k3qdm53Q&feature=youtube_gdata.swf
Fix : http://youtube.com/v/oi8k3qdm53Q&fs=1&feature=youtube_gdata.swf
Without "&fs=1", the button is removed.
CollegeHumor.com fullscreen button is there but does nothing.
Hulu fullscreen works but that's probably because the hulu player is strictly controlled by their site and not much by the embed code so I don't think you can disable the fullscreen.
Vimeo - I think whoever mentioned Vimeo was mislead because the skin you chose for the JWPlayer is a Vimeo clone skin. Vimeo doesn't actually embed videos in feedly. http://www.feedly.com/home#subscription/feed/http://vimeo.com/channels/778/videos/rss -
Thanks for the detailed post. Will take a look. Youtube should be easy to fix. I am not sure about the JWPlayer+Revision but will try to see if any exception is thrown. Will keep you posted. -
Inappropriate?Hmm. I did a quick look and we do not seem to generate the Youtube URLs. I think that this is the case where those videos are directly embedded in the posts. So we do not really have control over whether fs=1 is present or not. I will do some research and try to determine if we can blindly add them to any youtube URLs.

Inappropriate?Regarding Revision 3, I did a quick test on the tekzilla feed and when I click on the fullscreen on the player, it actually opens fullscreen. I am using Flash Player 10 on Mac OS X.

What flash + browser version + os version do you use? Can you please try with this feed:
http://www.feedly.com/home#subscription/feed/http://revision3.com/tekzilla/feed/quicktime-large -
Inappropriate?I tested that feed as you asked but unfortunately it still does not work without the work-around I provided above. I thought it may have been a particular feed as I only use the 720p feeds from Revision3 but the feed you provided performs the same as the 720p.
I use Flash 10, FF 3.5.5, Windows 7 -
You are right: using VMWare+Windows 7, I am able to reproduce the problem. But no problem on the Mac. Hmmm. Not sure if the problem is with the player or the skin. Will try to see if there is a newer version of the player tomorrow. I will also try to create a simple HTML test case to make sure that it has not something to do with how we embed the flash. Tues and Wed are going to be intense because we are getting ready for the feedly for chrome release. So it might take a few days before I can get back to you. Between now and then, please use the work around you suggested. -
Inappropriate? The work around is fine for now and I have been using it since the day the new JW version was added so there's no rush for that.
I'll test some more video feeds and will reply with which feeds work and which don't. -
Inappropriate?I have this problem too. When I click on fullscreen button, the screen flashes but nothing happen
-
If you are referring to the regular video player (JWPlayer) then try the following work around I provided earlier. It allows you to use fullscreen even though the button doesn't work properly yet.
JWPlayer has a fullscreen button but it does not work when clicked however the player allows you to force it to go fullscreen by right clicking and select "Toggle Fullscreen". -
Inappropriate? The fullscreen button doesn't work in all video player while the solution you suggested (right clicking) works fine in JWPlayer. I have another problem: I follow some youtube channel in feedly but the video player hasn't the fullscreen botton and I don't know how I can add &fs=1 in adress.
I’m confused
-
it is not possible for you to add it yourself it needs to be added somehow by the feedly dev team. I provided them with the solution and edwk said he will look into it so hopefully they will fix the issue with youtube as well as the other sites I mention earlier in the thread.
