Would be great to have a keyboard shortcut to mark the entire page as read.

Update: This feature has been implemented as part of 2.x.129: We added a new shift+m keyboard shortcut which can be used to mark a page as read (available on all the pages which have a check mark at the top and support the notion of mark as read).
You can install 2.x.129 from http://update.feedly.com/release/feed...

Inappropriate? This is a good suggestions but this is not easy to implement because we load more of the pages incrementally (as you scroll through the pages) and therefore the page can only be marked as read when everything has been loaded. Will keep thinking about it.

Unfortunately, this is key functionality that is preventing me from using feedly. Google Reader implements this so I'm not quite sure what the obstacle is. Is it not possible to enable this as an option in the preferences (regardless of not loading pages incrementally; i.e., we have to reload manually--at least until you figure it out)?
Otherwise, it looks like a very cool extension. -
But it seems to me that the button near a feed title works even if the page isn't fully loaded. Am I wrong?
It would be cool to have a key to perform the same action. -
Inappropriate? Is there a way to have "mark page as read" for single feed view and category view not only at the end of the page but also at the beginning?
It can be displayed when everything is loaded if there is still some loading problem.
I was looking for it for quite a while before I scrolled all the way down.

Inappropriate?Cross reference - added to the feedly 3.0 roadmap list http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?ke...

Inappropriate?i was also just looking for this feature that i use often in google reader to mark a specific feed that i am in - or even a folder - as 'all read'. the shortcut is shift-A and i use it prolifically.
-
Inappropriate? It may be a good idea to offer the same google reader shortcut (shift+a), but you may offer more versions of the clearing command, like clear the current feed, clear a category, clear visible, clear all. off course these are controversial utilities - but adding an optional confirmation dialog would solve the issue, i think.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?I'd love to see this feature implemented as well.

Inappropriate? Will look into this this week! Stay tuned.

Love the feature change added in the release provided. One thing I'd like to see added is to enable (via preferences?) automatically refreshing the page on a shift-M. Ya, it only saves me one keystroke but I do it every time (and trying to do this with TextExpander doesn't work). Great job folks! -
Inappropriate?Great stuff! Thanks edwk!!
Now the next big challenge is to be able to mark an open item as read and hide it from view (i.e. mimicking the "mark as read and hide" X button)
Thanks again!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I was hopeful when I saw this because I thought it implemented a feature I've long been wanting. Unfortunately not.
I was hoping for was a keyboard shortcut for "mark page as read", not for "mark category as read". I frequently scan a category, read the articles I want, and then mark the page as read and refresh to get a new batch in the category. It is far less often I want to mark the entire category as read without even seeing the article summaries.
I wonder if you would consider changing the new "mark as read" shortcut accordingly or adding a new shortcut for this function?
Thanks -
Inappropriate?Indeed, this is not "mark page as read", but "mark category as read". That's a whole different thing unfortunately
Please feedly, bring us the real thing!
I’m sad

Inappropriate?I see. This week is packed. May be I can look at it again next week end. Will keep you posted.

Inappropriate?Interesting how many different interpretations there are to this. I was kind of thinking on same lines as edwk and what they implemented since I often use the Mark all as read in google reader. However I can also see the attraction of marking just the current page being viewed as read
