Too much marked as read
Sometimes while I am looking at a feed in feedly, new articles are published (of course I don't see them). When I click the number button on the top of the feed to mark everything as read, I would prefer if it only marked as read the articles that were there when feedly displayed the feed page. Otherwise I never know about the new articles.

Inappropriate?Did you try to use mark page as read instead of mark all as read?
-
Inappropriate? Not usually. The mark all as read is more convenient for its location and (almost) provides the "mark read everything I read or could have read if I wanted to as of my current visit" functionality.
The issue mainly arises because there are some very active feeds that don't display their full content. So I see the article list, visit the blog, read the articles, come back and mark everything as read. But for an active feed there may already have been a new article by then and I won't see it unless I reload to check first. It's not a big concern once I'm aware of the issue (I just make sure I mark as read before visiting the blog instead of after).
But, the point is that it just seems like feedly shouldn't invisibly mark as read articles which the user never had a chance to see. It also seems like a (possibly) easy fix would be to only mark as read articles that are as old or older than the most recent one feedly has pulled. -
Inappropriate?I understand you point Phil. Will take a look at this on Monday. Have a great week end!
