Facebook login broken - fix in progress

Good old Facebook, I take it they didn't let you get your hands on a test server first?

ha well i complained at facebook as well and thanks for being so quick to get onto this problem guys as i absolutely love this browser and now refuse to use any other :D

Odd, I just added my new username on there last night and it's the same as the old one but with a period between first.last but shhhhh, don't tell Flock it's supposed to be broken as so far it's still integrating just fine for me.

I have still been working on a connection problem with YouTube...which everyone at Flock swears has been fixed in V2.5 (NOT). And then Flicker, which seems to now be working; and the this Facebook issue; which I just now saw the Tweet about. Out of frustration and none of the suggestions working to fix YouTube; I just decided to completely remove Flock from my computer; manually delete any left over files in the Programs Directory and the Applications Directory; then rebooted the computer and tried to start totally from a clean install. Obviously, Facebook isn't working, but neither is YouTube working correctly either. Everything else is ok; so hopefully when you get Facebook working again you might also completely fix YouTube connection for real this time too.

I'm so glad to hear that it's on your end and that you hope to be able to fix it. Why do these things always happen on weekends?

now the facebook statusbar chat does not work when you leave facebook to surf elsewhere

I sure hope they fix this problem with the PEOPLE SIDEBAR. That is probable the number 1 feature that I absolutely love about FLOCK. I sure hope you fix it in a timely matter. I am glad that at least the Twitter Feature works but some what Fustrated that Facebook is having this problem

Yea, this has been extremely frustrating for the past two days but at least things are going to get fixed!

At least Twitter and Myspace is working with it for now. But to be honest I mostly use Facebook on it. With Twitter I prefer Tweet Deck it is a much better Application for it.

Glad to know a fix is on the way! I miss my PEOPLE too!

You all are really good about getting fixes out ASAP. I sure wish the Facebook folks would work with you to prevent issues rather than causing them.

Thank you for all your hard work! I was beginning to think I was insane. I look forward to the fix and resuming my 'regular' schedule of using Flock for all things social!

The facebook sidebar is now working for me

Got my sidebar back but not seeing the updates and friends. So making progress. let me restart and try again.

Service Update followed by a restart and then a fresh login to facebook. Bingo . my sidebar is back..thanks Evan & team.

Almost all is well in the well with the world now that it is working again... However, has Flockcast now been broken as well?? I've only just updated to 2.5 in the middle of this mess and now that everything is working I have just tried to flockcast my Twitter post from the side bar to Facebook without success.

Got my Flock fixed, now I'm getting my Flock fix!

I deleted my Facebook account from Accounts and Services in Flock before I realized this was a common problem due to user name issues. How can I get Facebook back on my Flock browser? Thanks so much!

sorry but the facebook statusbar chat is still not working

It still doesn't work for me:

My facebook friends are not displayed under the "People" sidebar. The facebook selector icon has a orange dot on it. Under the People->facebook sub-sidebar I see my facebook picture and an old status message, and no friends.

I followed the steps at http://gsfn.us/t/8avn meticulously.

yea, all steps followed i even cleared all private data :(

6. Delete any Facebook cookies
7. Restart your computer "

It didn't help. I checked the cookies before logging into Facebook, and there were no facebook cookies. It still doesn't work. My facebook status is right, but none of my friends show up. I've even gone so far as clearing all the Private Data. (though I only shutdown the browser after that one, not the entire computer).

Ackk! I followed the directions and got my Sidebar with Friends back. But now none of my applications will open!! Much worse than before. Help!

I have reinstalled the version 2,03 and all is working fine

i will reinstall 2.5 as soon you have a fix.
The problem was about the 2,5 in windows vista is not able to do registration on facebook no matter i unisstall and rinstall more time deleting personal data and diectory. The things was back ok as i reinstalled the 2.03

I have followed all the steps Evan laid out and I my facebook side bar is up; yet only with updates from a week ago.

I have the same problem with Twitter and Youtube sidebars.

Any ideas?

Hi, I am still having a long standing issue in that I have the people sidebar up with both twitter and facebook. Twitter is fine but facebook works for a day showing updates and then stops. If I logout and log back in then it starts working again. I have tried forcing the service updates but nothing seems to fix it. Any ideas?

All previous updates are in there but no new status updates appear. I have facebook open on one of my tabs and it shows new posts when i refresh it so i am still logged into facebook. Only the people sidebar stops updating.

Everything was fine, now my People Window is empty; services are not listed, just the Flock Tutorial, Accounts and Services window is empty and my feeds are gone. 2.5 on OSX 10.5.7

It is more than Facebook. No accounts or services are available, including Twitter, Flickr, etc. The Accounts and Services comes up empty. When I click the People icon only the following info comes up,
Also the Media Bar cannot find any accounts, public or my own. It just continues to search without finding anything.
Hope this information helps. I have just upgraded to Version 2.5 US.
