Flock cannot find the right side of my screen
I just installed the 1.2.7 update and now my Verizon webmail doesn't work properly. The text no longer wraps to the screen when I read my messages, and I cannot scroll far enough to the right side to get all the text. Flock also seems to have slowed down.

Inappropriate?Hi John,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. However, you seem to be using an extremely old version of Flock! Please follow these instructions to back up your profile, and upgrade to our latest version (2.5.5).
1. Back up your Favourites.
2. Back up your Feeds.
3. Find your Profile.
4. Go to www.flock.com and download the newest version.
5. Install 2.5.5.
Let me know if this fixes your issue. If it does not, I will gladly continue troubleshooting with you.
Thanks,
~Cam -
Thanks Cam,
2.5.5 doesn't support Windows 98, and I cannot upgrade at this time. I have to continue to look for compatible software. -
Thanks Cam,
The settings were correct, but I got to thinking about Java in general. I downloaded a fresh Java package and reinstalled. There may have been some bad files, because most of the problems have gone away. I still have a problem with text not wrapping properly, but this may be due to encoding from one of my sibling's mail services. Their emails are the only ones that seem to have the problem now. Flock is running a little faster, but not as well as when it was first installed. I'll try to find the steps you suggested and see if it helps.

Inappropriate?John,
I apologize for my previous post, as I apparently temporarily forgot how to type HTML properly. What I intended to do was direct you to our Tune-Up page. This may help to speed up your browser.
Sorry for the mistake, and I hope this helps you!

Hi Cam,
Once I got there, I recognized the "Tune-Up" page. I had found it on my own prior to posting this problem, and it did not help. Flock is running better now due to re-installation of Java and Flash Player. It is still running slower than it did with the 1.2.6 installation, but not too bad. It is still faster than IE (6.02.xxx SP1) or Firefox (2.0.0.20).
Thanks again for the help.
jhf
PS: I did get your email with the link to the Tune-Up page. Thank You. -
Cam,
I don't see the comment I added several hours ago. Just in case: reinstalling both Java and Flash seems to have fixed most issues in Flock. It still runs slower than prior to the 1.2.7 update, but it runs faster than IE (6.0.xxxxxxx...xxxx SP1) or Firefox (2.0.0.20). I do not remember if I mentioned that Flock kept crashing whenever an embedded flash object started running.
Thanks for the Help,
jhf
