Video streaming isn't working properly

Hello - I love Flock but my video doesn't stream well through this browser. If I'm watching a video clip on YouTube or some other site, the video pauses every 15-20 seconds. Sometimes the video pauses 3-4 seconds and the audio continues. Then sometimes both the video and audio are delayed about 3-4 seconds. I know it's not my cable connection because when I switch to Safari, the video streams without interruption. I'm on a MacBook (OS 10.4.11).
