Can't publish to video even with the proper codec installed.

I'm trying to publish my project to a mp4 video. First it would not publish at all (couldn't even get the options window to open). I came on here and saw that I need to have the latest Huffy codec so I downloaded and installed that. Now I can get the options window to open and I can click to save the file but when the Project Recorder opens it just says "Preparing to the Project" then closes with an error message saying "There was a problem saving your project." I have tried saving different video formats and to various locations but nothing works. Please help!
