Inappropriate?Ha, I don't think we're spamming at all. We give users the ability to turn everything on/off and I'm assuming if they're keeping the foursquare tweets on they must enjoy them.

Inappropriate?I think he's talking about "so and so is the new mayor of place" emails, which I don't see an option to turn off anywhere.
-
Inappropriate? We send three types of tweets - checkin, mayor and badges. All these can be turned on/off here: http://foursquare.com/settings
If you don't want to see *other people's* checkin / mayor / badge tweets, that's like filtering out people's "I'm eating a sandwich for lunch!" tweets... the only way you can do that is by unfollowing that user on Twitter. -
Inappropriate?I'm not talking about tweets, but the OP may have been. I get emails when I've ousted as a mayor of a venue. Like this one:
----
Hey there -
Sorry for the bad news, but Laura has just replaced you as mayor of Gordon Food Service (GFS)!

Don't take it too hard - a few more checkins and you could be back on top...
----
Where can we turn emails these off? -
Inappropriate?Oh, THE EMAILS! Yes, this is my bad. We gotta fix this (and the friend request ones). We'll try to squeeze this in this week. Sorry about that!
