Expanding what constitutes city exploration

I think that it would be cool if I could play Foursquare when I take my son places (zoo, etc.). The problem is that I generally don't take him places in the evening, which means no travel points. I think you could have other sets of points for doing fun things during the day: going to a swim hole, hiking, playing on swings, etc. These things are as fun as going out to dinner or bars in my book.
