Synchronization overload
How do I set Foxmarks to synchronize only once a day, rather than pestering me every time I browse to a new site? this is a major annoyance.

Inappropriate? You can disable automatic synchronization by unchecking Tools > Foxmarks > Settings, "Sync", Enable Automatic Synchronization. You'll still need to synchronize manually or else when you shut down Firefox (depends on how often you shut down Firefox manually).
Generally we try to have Foxmarks synchronize in the background without any pop-ups, though--what is it you're seeing that's causing the annoyance? -
The problem is that all of a sudden foxmarks is using a lot of CPU for every synchronization. You should run the schronization thread at a low priority so it doesn't interfere with other processing -
Inappropriate?Nils: Foxmarks runs at the lowest priority it can within the Firefox javascript engine. If there's an inordinate amount of CPU being used up during synchronization, that's usually due to an excessive number of bookmarks being synchronized (generally more than 1,000 will cause system slowdowns).
