Xmarks not working with Firefox and Windows 7 RC1 64bit?
Is there any way to make Xmarks work with Firefox on Windows 7 RC1 64bit? The Xmark wizard starts, and I log in, and it tries to sync, but it never finishes. If I cancel it, a screen pops up that says it worked, but none of my bookmarks have been transferred from the server.
When I restart Firefox, the Xmark wizard runs again...

Inappropriate?Hey Akin,
Do you have a very large bookmark set? Do you have strict anti-virus programs or custom firewalls/proxies? Instead of running the wizard, can you click the Xmarks Status icon (lower right corner of Firefox) and open the Advanced tab. Click Show logfile and, could you paste the last 15 lines of your logfile here? Maybe we can get some clues out of it. Hopefully we can sort this out quickly!
Thanks -
Inappropriate?WTF! I had this same problem for months and have not been able to use Xmarks (it occured since Windows 7 beta 32-bit) and recurred since installing Windows 7 RC 64-bit for the past 2 weeks or so, I just opened the error log, then pressed sync in the exact same manner I have done probably 20 times at least since the issue first occurred and it worked all of a sudden.
If you want to try it, this is what I did:
- went into xmarks options > advanced > show log file (logging was already enabled for me)
- it tried to download a null file??? i cancelled it
- opened the log file in a text editor
- kept it open
- manually initiated a sync in xmarks
My environment:
- Windows 7 b7201 64-bit (problem occurred in one of the 32 bit beta builds of 7 too)
- Firefox 3.5 RC (problem occurred since ~3.0.7)
- Xmarks 3.1.0
I’m really not sure!

Inappropriate?I'm not sure if my list of bookmarks is considered "very large" or not, but I do have a few.
I've actually "fixed" my problem... I unistalled Firefox, rebooted, reinstalled Firefox, restored my back profile again, and suddenly it is working. I didn't do anything different...
Thanks for the suggestions though!
I’m happy
