Is there any way that I can print a complete statement of a client's account with all invoices, payments and balances for a given date range?

This isn't a huge issue, but the site still feels a little bit slow to me. Are we likely to see any speed increases with future updates, or do I just need to get a better internet connection?

My client says that all subcontractors invoice expenses net of VAT and then claim there own VAT back. I'm currently awaiting my vat number. but the invoiceing does not seem to follow this protocol

Once FreeAgent has this VAT number will it use this method for invoicing?

There does not appear to be an allowable entry for PAYE/NI Penalty. Could you add this please? I have added the penalty in as a VAT Penalty for now! Thanks

At the end of every quarter I send to my accountant copies of the following for the period:

- Sales invoices (overview and actual invoices)
- Purchase invoices (overview and actual invoices)
- All bank and credit card statements
- Explanations of bank/credit card transactions in a spreadsheet
- Expense claims with receipts

Most of this information now resides happily in FreeAgent, but what would be the best way to get it out to send to my accountant?

I know I can get the raw data in the export spreadsheet but it includes everything, needs some work to get into a usable format, and does not include any of the attached files (invoices, receipts, etc.).

What would be great is if there was a way to select what you want to output, select a date range, and let the system generate it all - including attachments - in a zip file for download.

Sadly my accountant isn't happy logging into the system themselves so I can't just take that approach!

I'm sure this a complicated answer, but I'm trying to make sure I get FreeAgent set up properly before using it for the next accounting year, starting 1st Jul 09. I've been using it for a few months in this financial year so some of the items (invoices, expenses etc. are in the system.), but it seems this means things aren't balancing out properly.

Is there a way setting all the opening balances and ignoring what's been before?

I am trying to add an invoice through the API, but the documentation states you need the minimum to do so:

I need some clarification over some of the items. <company-id> is this the contactID as freeagent doesn't have the concept of a company, just contacts. And the invoice I am creating doesn't have a project so what do I put in the project id?</company-id>

From January 1st 2009 I have been a sole trader but until the end of December 2008 I was also a company Director and need to show the drawings I made from that company during the 2008-2009 tax year. The other Director of the company - who still is a Director has also opened a FAC account for Limited companies. Will I also need to upgrade my account to show these transactions or is there a way round it?

Budgets v Actuals is there a report available?
When you enter the budgeted amount on a project what reporting can you do against it? would love to see a x% of budget utilised

I'm trying to make extensive use of the attachments feature to add pictures/scans of receipts against every transaction, which I'm then billing to clients. When I issue said invoice to client, can the system also auto-send those receipts?

If not, would seem to be a big pain in the ass - clients need receipts!

we recieved our vat registration part way through a project, but I have already marked invoice 1 of 2 as paid and so can't delete it.

what i really want to do is to delete the original invoices and recreate them with vat added.

any help or workarounds would be spiffy :)

I want to set up a salary clearing account that will do two things

1. Debit salary expense, credit creditors
2. Debit cash, credit creditors

How can i set up the clearing account in creditors?

Do you have any sample code for the API in C#.

Just a really simple framework for logging on and then doing a PUT of any object type.
