Using FreeAgent Central for Personal Finance Managment?

I'm currently looking for Personal Finance Management (preferably browser based) software that is localized for the UK. After a little searching I came across FreeAgent Central, however I noticed it is geared towards Freelancers / Small Business.

Is it possible to use FAC for Personal Finances? If not, are there any plans to launch a Personal Finance product in the near future? Failing that, can anyone recommend any alternative products for Personal Finance that are localized for the UK? (The big fish such as Microsoft Money and Quicken have given up on UK support).

Having a play around with a free trial account (I should have done this before asking the initial question to be honest!), it does not really look like FreeAgent is exactly what I am looking for. However I'll be keeping an eye on the project out of curiosity, and who knows - I may just have use for it in the future.

I'm kinda answering my own question here, but I'm sure you're too busy with the development of FAC and your other projects to be working on a Personal Finance product just yet. Once you do have time for additional projects however, please do consider a Personal Finance Managment system. Looking at FreeAgent Central, I think you guys would really make an excellent job of it.

I’m saddend that FreeAgent does not look like the solution for me.

Hi Alex,

You're absolutely right, FreeAgent is really just designed for managing business finances and that'll remain it's focus going forward.

If we were to look at this area, and it's completely underserved in the UK at the minute, it would certainly be a new product.

It's not something we've got planned in the short term, but who knows what the future holds. It could certainly compliment FreeAgent.

Thank you for the quick reply Ronan. I have to agree with you that the UK is indeed completely undeserved. I can only think of one company that offers a service anything like it - and my experiences with them have been terrible. Anyhow, keep up the good work with FreeAgent!
