TWO MONTHS AGO, Eric Suesz replied in a thread in the Plurk section titled "EXTREMELY CRITICAL SECURITY ISSUE", where it was pointed out that a user on Plurk could have the same display name as another user on Plurk.
ONE MONTH AGO, Fake Eric Suesz posted the same thing in the same thread. To make sure it was not seen as impersonation, the image was inverted and flipped.
TODAY, the EXTREMELY CRITICAL HUMOR ISSUE was discovered. In
the words of Scott Fleckenstein, which apply perfectly to this issue:
It was a fucking joke, for Eric's benefit. Chill out.
Amy Muller went from being
my favorite Muller to my least favorite Muller when attempting to hide this EXTREMELY CRITICAL HUMOR ISSUE by taking it private. The most offensive thing to me, about this site, is that only the Get Satisfaction staff can e-mail users. What if a user
wants to be e-mailed? What if a user wants to reply to a GSFN e-mail? They shouldn't get no response, they should get a helpful response letting them know that they need to go to the thread or the section to post their reply or new question.
Regarding this account: http://getsatisfaction.com/people/fak...
Thomas,
Not cool. First of all we clearly state in our community guidelines:
"Don't misrepresent yourself or lie about your identity, affiliations, or age"
"Don't create multiple accounts to violate these guidelines, game the system, or harass and deceive other users."
Second of all, as someone moderating the Mozilla community on Get Satisfaction you should know better.
We are going to change the name on that account and then deactivate it from any further posting abilities.
Please don't do this again.
Thanks,
Amy
Amy, hopefully you won't mind since your goal was obviously to try to avoid shaming me (somehow), so I will fully accept the non-shame of pointing out the inconsistencies between Eric claiming that this is a major security issue where the funny thing is
this site suffers the exact same "issue".
I totally thought pointing this out in the next post in the thread would be good enough but I guess not noticing that it made barely any posts (and one was on accident) is very feasible, since the activity viewer page doesn't actually list user activity (as one would expect), but related activity not actually posted by the user, drowning out what you were looking for.
So basically this is my "rant about what's wrong with get satisfaction" post of the day thank you for reading.
