Can I import a profile to my existing account?
The new user signup page allows a hCard profile to be imported from sites like Flickr and Last.fm. You can also then set things up to synchronise changes from the external profile (e.g. when I update my Flickr avatar, Get Satisfaction updates too).
But I already have a Get Satisfaction account (obviously); can I somehow import my profile from Flickr (it's the same username, if someone wants to work some magic) and have it synchronise changes?

Inappropriate?Boy, I don't think so, but I will need to check with the developers and see what they think. Stay tuned.

Inappropriate?I don't have an answer for you yet, but I'm still trying.

Thanks for the update. :) -
Inappropriate?Currently that is not an option. The feature was crafted as a way to lower barrier to entry. Meaning for signup only :(
Thanks for bringing this up though. It's definitely something for us to think about.
Thanks!
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?Well that's disappointing. Especially when you simultaneously consider the ability to then sync said profile, along with the ability to use federated authentication such as Open ID.
Currently, it would seem that you can only sync your profile if you sign up that way. It would seem that you can only sign up that way if you DON'T use federated authentication.
Microformats are great, but to really work they need to be consumed as well as exposed. This is a great way to consume microformats, but it needs to be equitable.
hCard profile sync + Open ID authentication = Epic Win! It's a no-brainer, isn't it?
I’m convincing!
