Get Satisfaction imported this topic into its internal tracking system, Zendesk.

Cannot merge or delete exact duplicate topics with the same URL

We get duplicate topics often with the same URL. In this situation we're not able to merge the two topics together or get rid of the duplicate. If we merge, both topics still show in the timeline and both appear to have been merged into themselves. Here are two examples where this has happened; the first one I merged into itself and last I checked it was completely inaccessible:

I have this problem, too! Tell me when someone solves it.
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

The company has acknowledged this problem.

I had duplicate topics. I closed one but the other wouldn't close. I then merged them. After merging I can't do anything, it times out.

shac, I can't remove that topic, but I've asked our dev team to look into this. I've put this topic into our Zendesk Help Desk. I will do my best to update you when I have an update.
